Nisos Prime: An Upscale Mediterranean Steakhouse Experience in Chicago

Visited during restaurant week. Started with the Rigatoni which had a fantastic flavor, the vodka sauce was some of the best I have tried. This was followed by steak frites, the dish was good, but I can't say it was the best iteration I've tried. I finished off with the gelato trio, which was quite honestly the icing on the cake, great finish. The staff was very friendly and attentive, topping off water almost every time you took a sip, checking to make sure everything was going well, etc. To sum it up, great experience, great value, delicious food.

We’re so glad we decided to try out Nisos for happy hour — it was absolutely worth it! Our server, Anthony, was fantastic. He made sure we got all our orders in before happy hour ended and took great care of us the entire time. The caviar bites, especially the arancini, were absolutely delicious. The happy hour cocktail list was also excellent — so many great options! The service overall was outstanding. The floor manager even noticed we were a little tight on space and graciously moved us to a private booth, which made our experience even better. The music and ambiance are a 10/10 — you truly feel like you’re on vacation. We’re already planning to come back soon to check out the steakhouse and lounge. Highly recommend!

Nisos Prime doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it sure does a pretty good job turning it. As per the owner’s vision, “Prime” in the name goes beyond being steakhouse. It’s also about creating an elevated vibe or a prime experience if you will. On that front, they have absolutely delivered. The space has this warm, golden glow that instantly draws you in. Earthy tones, woven textures, and lush greenery blend seamlessly to create a cozy yet refined atmosphere. Service was approachable and kind, striking a great balance between professional and personable. Our dinner started out with some complimentary bread served alongside with some tzatziki, olive oil, and butter. The focaccia was quite flavorful from all the herbs baked into the bread and had a good crust but was lacking its signature satisfying chew. Crispy octopus was decent flavorwise but a tad overcooked. Beef tatare was a solid classic preparation elevated by the added richness from the bone marrow. Decent start so far but nothing could have prepared me for how good the 24-month Prosciutto di Parma sliced tableside was. Deeply savory, nuanced, and tender, it was the best thing of the night. The filet was cooked decently but was a bit tough with some overly charred, bitter edges. However, it came with some great accompaniments: a whole head of roasted garlic, some tallow butter, and some house steak salt. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the orecchiette, remarking that their sauce and Italian sausage were excellent. We ended the night with a healthy scoop of salted caramel gelato: creamy, deeply caramelized flavor balanced with a clean hit of salt. Despite a few minor missteps, Nisos Prime is worth returning to even with the crowded West Loop dining scene.

Super chill spot we came in right after happy hour. Just wanted to mention Sam the bartender! He gave amazing service and super friendly! If I didn’t like a drink, he always gave the option of me trying something different. Ignacio was a chill bar-back he also made sure to greet customers and have conversations alongside helping the bartender when needed. We ordered the prosciutto and ricotta to share amongst 4. The drinks we tried were Cote de Melon, Paloma del Sol, and a passion fruit margarita (not on the menu). I will come back during happy hour and try more menu options!

I’ve been to Nisos twice now and really enjoyed it both times! The corn dish is awesome — definitely a must-try. I’ve also had the vodka pasta, which is good but not particularly special, while the Orecchiette is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, both upstairs and downstairs, is great, and the bartenders and servers are all super friendly and attentive. The only downside is the host stand — the hostesses haven’t been the friendliest and don’t seem great at accommodating guests when you first arrive. Other than that, it’s a fantastic spot overall!

Decent classy restaurant for a night out. Vibes were very cute. We got the parachute mocktail and it was pretty delicious. Don’t sleep on the Wagyu meatball appetizer! One of the highlights of our meal. We had the fillet and the chicken parm for our entrees. They were decent nothing out of this world but not bad. For dessert we got the skillet cookie with crumbled pistachios on top but you couldn’t really taste a lot of pistachios it was mostly caramel which I appreciated!

Had an amazing experience here. Food was on point and the vibes were great. Shalease was a great server and we felt very taken care of and attended to. Lucas was also super hospitable and welcoming to us as well. I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a nice meal!

Recently went to Prime Bar to celebrate Galentine’s Day with my girls. This spot had been on my list for a while! We decided to dine at the bar so we could take advantage of the everyday happy hour and use our InKind app. The espresso martini was a HIT. Our favorites were the chips and dips, cheeseburger, chicken taco pita, truffle fries, and oysters. The wings were just okay and I did not love the herb aioli. Our bartender server, I believe her name was Delia, sorry if I spelled it wrong, was super nice. She got slammed but still gave great service the whole time. The ambience is gorgeous and the music really set the vibe. Would definitely come back!
